HOWTO: Tweak OpenOffice to load up and work faster

Open up OpenOffice Word Processor. Go to Tools > Options. Select memory in the sidebar.

  • Set number of undo steps to 30.
  • Under Graphics cache section, set Use for OpenOffice.org to 20MB
  • Memory per object to 5.0MB
  • Cache for inserted objects to 20
